Designed specifically to meet the unique demands of Contact Sailing, the Lightning from Performance Designs is not a conventional sail with modified lines. It's a sail entirely designed and optimized for this spectacular discipline.

🪂 A sail designed for Contact Sailing, and nothing else

From the base to the details, everything in the Lightning is designed for VC performance:

  • Special hangers, wedges and tail pockets

  • Optimized retraction system to avoid snagging during training

  • Structural reinforcements designed to withstand the shocks and stresses of in-flight contact

  • Available in three designs:

    • Fully P0 (not recommended for terminal-speed openings)

    • Double porosity (P0 + low porosity)

    • Full low porosity for greater durability

🧩 Custom options :

  • Variety of wedges available to suit your preferences or your team's standards

  • Customizable line lengths

  • Other specific configurations on request, to meet your exact needs in competition or training
