Introducing the new Sigma II reserve canopy by United Parachute Technologies, produced by Performance Designs.
This new dynamic reserve canopy is the product of years of extensive
test jumps, drop tests and fine-tuning. This canopy has met or exceeded our performance and reliability targets throughout the development process
, and we are proud to be able to equip the tandem skydiving market with an even higher level of safety

The Sigma II is available in two sizes: SR340 and SR370. Improvements in the design of the Sigma II compared
to the VR-360 are: ease of folding, improved aperture characteristics and better flight performance
and landing. Designed with folding simplicity in mind, we have introduced a Vectran cascade cone,
which results in an overall lower folded volume than the VR-360. What's more, we've implemented
colored braids to make line groups easily identifiable. The opening characteristics
take into account the wide range of possible deployment speeds to meet the requirements specified by TSO-C23f,
while maintaining a flexible opening for pilots.
Once opened, the Sigma II reserve flies and lands more like a main canopy. It has a slightly flatter glide than the VR-360,
intuitive controls that allow easy rotation and a deep control range to reduce the probability of stall.
The Sigma II is designed to minimize control effort while maximizing landing flare power.
The Sigma II is also fitted with a new rescue pod, which holds the lines more securely.
Tests were carried out using these rescue pods, sized for the Micro Sigma and Sigma. NOTE: The VR360 can be used
in the Sigma SR370 rescue pod; however, the SR370 does not fit in the Micro Sigma rescue pod.
The Sigma II 370 is designed to fit both a standard Sigma and a Micro Sigma. Whereas the SR340 is designed for the Micro Sigma only.
